Wind and Solar Resource Assessment
Wind and solar resource assessments form a key step in a project’s development cycle, particularly from a finance perspective. Accurate and extensive resource studies are required to credibly assess a project’s feasibility and minimise risk for financiers, owners and other key project stakeholders.
AER can conduct end to end services including data monitoring/acquisition, data analysis and reporting. AER can also use this data to appropriately size and design embedded renewable energy facilities.
AER provides detailed resource assessment capabilities and currently owns and operates a fleet of data acquisition equipment including the latest SODAR technology for wind resource assessments, capable of measuring up to 200m above ground level.
Our services include:
- Wind monitoring campaigns (utilising the latest SODAR technology)
- Solar monitoring campaigns (pyranometers, pyrheliometers and weather stations)
- Data processing and analysis
- Resource assessment and reporting
