Kings Lake Estate vineyard is located in Geographe region, a well-known wine region in the South of Western Australia. In 2018, the management sought advice from AER to reduce electricity costs resulting from the extensive pumping requirements of the vineyard. A ground mounted 30 kW solar array was installed in October which will reduce the annual electricity cost by around 28%. AER also offered a competitive electricity retail tariff including a buyback rate for unused solar energy.
