Fremantle Furniture Factory has been delivering high-quality joinery and fit-out solutions to the residential, commercial and shopfitting sectors for the last 40 years. Having supplied FFF with electricity for several years, in early 2017 AER approached the owner with a proposal to dramatically reduce electricity consumption with a Solar PV system. Annual savings off the electricity cost of the factory were estimated to be 57% with the installation of a 100 kW system, when combined with a feed in tariff for the exported electricity. AER monitoring of the system has validated its electricity production in excess of 160,000 kWh in the first full year of operation.
